Paisley tie up jacket

Hola!!!

Today's outfit is a paisley waistcoat with a tie up strings at the backside.
Block print, paisley design is the main ingredient in this outfit, jeans being the inner lining.
A patch of Ikat fabric is used in front for stylized effect.
At the back side, tie and dye fabric is added along with the strings.

(I will do a separate section on different kind of Indian fabrics in the next blog, stay tuned).


Its more of a casual music festivals, traveling jacket.
It is ideal for summers/spring season and can be paired along with shorts, tees, tunics to complete
an earthy bohochic look.

Patchwork boho tunic

Hello all and a happy Monday ahead.


Today's outfit is an amalgamation of different pieces of fabrics stitched together and made into a tunic.
It has bishop sleeves and straight cut silhouette.
 
Its a patchwork bohemian tunic ideal for occasional, weddings or festival event.

It can be paired with trousers, skinny leggings, jeans or shorts.

It requires dry cleaning and steam iron for neat look.

Ethnic bohemian resort wear 2.0

Hello people,

Happy Sunday...

Today I am posting a Matka cotton waistcoat similar to previous version. Check out the link to

It has an additional hand embroidered lace for stylized effect.

It has been paired up with hand made macrame necklace.

Its a contemporary twist to traditional ethnic bohemian waistcoat 2.0 which is ideal for weddings, evening/occasional wear. Its a resort wear and can be worn out for casual event too paired with jeans or skirt.

Phulkari embroidered tunic

Hello all,

Hope everyone is having a good time.

Today I am posting Phulkari embroidered tunic. A bohemian flavored tunic.
Its an occasional resort wear which can be worn during weddings, festivals, or an evening outing.
It can be paired with cotton pants or no pants, both styles are good and  comfortable.

Its a boho chic outfit resembling  60s era style.

Phulkari refers to the folk embroidery of the Punjab. Although Phulkari means floral work, the designs include not only flowers but also cover motifs and geometrical shapes.

Ethnic bohemian resort wear


Matka cotton waistcoat
 
Matka is an Indian term for rough handloom silk fabric made from very thick yarns spun out of the pierced cocoon in the weft and organize in the warp.  In simple terms, its a cotton silk fabric.

So this waistcoat is made out of cotton silk fabric and a dash of zari fabric is also added for more jazz.
It has jute cotton lining inside for comfort and hence its really ideal for summers also.
 
Its more of a contemporary ethnic wear but can be paired with tee and jeans also for more bohemian inspired indie look.
 
Its require dry cleaning and steam iron so little precaution is required but as its an occasional resort wear its easy to maintain.

So here are few snaps of the waistcoat.
Necklace is a macrame piece and handmade.

Indie Zari Waistcoat

Hello lovelies,

Hope everyone is coping well with the whole pandemic.

Today I am posting a more ethnic indie inspired waistcoat for more festive cultural event.

Its a contemporary style which can be worn over tunics, tees or under a blazer for more traditional
event or festivals.
Its a zari fabric with inside lining made out of cotton jute.

Its a deep back style yet comfortable. I have paired it with a handmade macrame necklace.

Splashed and Remixed Boho Vest

Hello everyone,

Batik printed mud dye vest is here.

This particular vest is a mix of Grey splashed natural mud dye alongwith handloom cotton checks fabric and paisley block printed cotton fabric alongwith indigo mul lining.
Its more of a earthy, relaxed summer outing wear. It can be paired with tunics, tees, sleeveless tees as per the season and comfort.
